Southern Dong Nai province targets to build some 10,000 units of social housing by 2025, according to the provincial Department of Construction.

There are 12 social housing projects that have been under construction.

Over 43.8 ha of land has been set aside by the State for construction of social housing projects.

Meanwhile, 11.27 ha of land will be reserved by investors of commercial housing projects for construction of social houses.

However, sluggish legal procedures and lack of stable support policies for social housing projects have affected construction progress of these projects, according to the department.

A supervision delegation from the National Assembly, led by Vice Chairman of the NA’s Economic Committee Nguyen Ngoc Bao, has recently examined construction site of some projects in the province and worked with some real estate enterprises to seek ways to tackle difficulties and obstacles facing property projects.
