Southern Dong Nai province earned over $13.27 billion from exports in the first seven months of the year, up 8.05% year-on-year, according to the provincial Statistics Office.

Meanwhile, its import value was estimated at more than $9.52 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.63%.

As a result, Dong Nai posted a trade surplus of nearly $3.75 billion, the highest among the total 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

Its key export markets include the US with over $4 billion, accounting for 30.45% of the total; Japan with $1.28 billion, accounting for 9.7%; China $1.28 billion; and South Korea $742 million.

In the seven-month period, the province’s Index of Industrial Production (IIP) rose 6.98% compared to the same period last year.

Its total retail sales of consumer goods and services reached over VND168.2 trillion ($6.64 billion), soaring 12.4% year-on-year.
