Dutch multinational BE Semiconductor Industries N.V (BESI) has been licensed to invest $4.9 million in manufacturing semiconductor equipment components at the Saigon Hi-Tech Park.

The company was granted an investment registration certificate in Hanoi on November 2, in the presence of PM Pham Minh Chinh and visiting Dutch PM Mark Rutte.

BESI  plans to install equipment and recruit workers from now until the end of next year to prepare for official operations in early 2025, according to the management board.

It has also decided to rent a 2,000 sq m ready-built factory at the park to put the project into operation quickly.

BESI is a global company headquartered in the Netherlands and operating seven branches throughout Asia and Europe. It specializes in developing and manufacturing semiconductor equipment for the global semiconductor and electronics industry.
