Expressway connecting Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen to be built

The Ministry of Transport will earmark over VND2.77 trillion ($116 million) to invest in transport projects in northern mountainous Bac Kan province.

Of the total, around VND2 trillion ($84.3 million) will be invested in building the Cho Moi - Bac Kan Expressway.

The link will be 19.4 km long and have two lanes.

It will connect with the Thai Nguyen - Cho Moi Expressway to create a 70-km link, helping to shorten travel time between Thai Nguyen province and Bac Kan.

The ministry said the Bac Kan - Cao Bang Expressway, connecting Cao Bang province with Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen and Hanoi, is expected to be built after 2030 and have a total length of 90 km with four lanes.
