Central Da Nang city attracted nearly $177 million in FDI capital in the first ten months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 135 per cent, according to the city’s Department of Planning and Investment.
Of the figure, $135 million came from a hi-tech electronics project in the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park.
The city is expected to attract more than $200 million of FDI capital by year’s-end.
Da Nang has now licensed more than 1,000 FDI projects in total, with registered capital of an estimated $4.3 billion.
Japan leads in investors, with more than 230 projects and over $1 billion in capital, accounting for 26 per cent of the total, followed by the US, with 85 projects and $800 million.
