FPT Software officially received a license on February 5 to build a complex of research, production, and technology training centers in Quy Hoa Valley, Area 2, Ghenh Rang Ward, Quy Nhon city, in south-central Binh Dinh province.
A ceremony was held within the framework of a conference to implement the government’s Action Program on implementing Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW from the Politburo. The conference was chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, representatives from the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), and representatives from local and international organizations.
With total investment of more than VND2 trillion ($84.4 million), the technology complex will be a workplace, research and development, and study facility for 20,000 tech personnel, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for the locality as well as attracting international human resources and turning Quy Nhon into the artificial intelligence (AI) center of Southeast Asia. Construction of the first phase is expected to begin in the third quarter.
The project will also provide high-tech services, based on global trending technologies such as AI, big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and automation, among others, contributing to improving the competitiveness of Vietnamese tech enterprises and promoting technology into an important economic sector in Binh Dinh province.
