The difference between gold prices in Vietnam and the global market fell by 30.61% on September 15 compared to the peak gap of VND19.4 million ($732) recorded on September 6.

In the domestic market, SJC-branded gold bars were sold at VND131.1 million ($4,947) per tael, unchanged from the previous session. The buying price rose slightly by VND300,000 ($11.3) to VND128.4 million ($4,845) per tael.

One tael equals 37.5 grams, or 1.2 ounces.

On the global market, gold edged up 0.07% to $3,645 per ounce. At this level, domestic prices stand nearly VND13.4 million ($505) per tael higher than international levels.
