Vietnam’s GDP growth accelerated to 8.22 per cent in July-September period, the Government News quoted Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang as stating.
The Vietnamese economy had expanded 7.96 per cent and 6.93 per cent in the second and first quarters this year, respectively.
In January-September period, Vietnam’s GDP grew 7.84 per cent, the minister told Cabinet meeting on October 5 morning.
Agriculture and service sector maintained positive growth momentum despite heavy impacts caused by recent storms, while industrial production increased by around 10% in the 3rd quarter and 9.92 percent in the first nine months.
The Government targets to raise GDP growth to over 8 per cent in 2025, paving the way for double-digit growth in the next five years.
