The government has asked relevant agencies to promptly complete the feasibility study for the construction of the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway project, for submission for approval in April.
The 129-km expressway, running between the central highlands’ Dak Nong province and southern Binh Phuoc province, will connect the central highlands to economic centers in the southern region.
Total investment for the project is proposed at nearly VND26 trillion ($1.08 billion).
The project will seek investment in the public-private partnership (PPP) form, of which the State will contribute under VND10 trillion ($418 million).
During the first phase, the expressway is designed to have four lanes, which will then be expanded to six lanes.
