Northern Hai Duong province targets posting average annual economic growth of 9.5 per cent under its master plan for the 2021-2030 period and vision to 2050.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh granted a decision approving the master plan to provincial authorities at a conference in Hai Duong on January 10 announcing is master planning and investment promotion.

Hai Duong will strive to become a modern industrial locality and an industrial center of the Red River Delta by 2030.

The province will focus on developing the manufacturing, electronics, high technology, and supporting industries.

In electronics, it will boost foreign investment attraction in smart electronics and home appliances towards the production of sensors and microchips on a large scale.

It will also give priority to attracting global high-tech enterprises.

In order to gain resources to implement the plan, Prime Minister Chinh said the province should promote public-private cooperation and continue to renew mindsets and boost innovation.

The implementation of the plan should focus on assisting startups, applying science and technology, and developing new sectors such as digital transformation, green transition, and the circular economy, he added.
