Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called on ministries, sectors, and localities to intensify efforts to complete 3,000 kilometers of expressways by the end of 2025.

Chairing the 19th meeting of the State Steering Committee for National Key Transport Projects in Hanoi on July 31, PM Chinh noted that since the beginning of the year, the Government has taken decisive steps to accelerate infrastructure projects, including the construction of more than 1,000 kilometers of new expressways, aiming to reach the 3,000-kilometer target by year-end.

Priority projects include the coastal road network, Long Thanh International Airport, and several major seaports. Land clearance is also underway for the North–South high-speed railway and the Lao Cai–Hanoi–Hai Phong railway projects.

PM Chinh urged all relevant ministries and localities to proactively identify bottlenecks and propose specific, actionable solutions. Key challenges to resolve include land clearance, relocation of technical infrastructure, and access to construction materials.
