Hai Duong targets becoming industrial province by 2030

Northern Hai Duong province will strive to become a modern industrial locality and an industrial center of the Red River Delta by 2030 under its master plan for the 2021-2030 period and vision to 2050.

The plan has been approved by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha.

The province will focus on developing the manufacturing, electronics, high technology, and supporting industry.

In electronics, it will boost foreign investment attraction in smart electronics and home appliances towards the production of sensor products and microchips on a large scale.

It will also give priority to attracting global high-tech enterprises.

Hai Duong plans to develop three industrial regions, including a core industrial region, a supporting industrial region, and a heavy industrial, agro-forestry and fishery processing and clean energy region.

Under its master plan, it targets posting average annual economic growth of 9.5 per cent.
