Northern Hai Phong city plans to allocate over VND19.97 trillion ($832 million) from its budget for public investment projects in 2024.
This is part of a resolution on the public investment plan for next year, which has been approved by the port city’s People’s Council.
The figure is VND1.780 trillion ($74.16 million) less than in 2023.
Nearly VND11.8 trillion ($491 million) will be earmarked for public investment projects transferred from previous years and new projects that have completed investment procedures.
Over VND5.12 trillion ($213 million) will be allocated for projects that are scheduled to start next year after completing investment procedures.
The city will also set aside over VND2 trillion ($83 million) of public investment capital for programs to build new-style rural areas.
