Northern Hai Phong city disbursed only VND11.4 trillion ($475 million) of public investment capital in the first ten months of this year, equivalent to 52 per cent of the annual target, according to the municipal People’s Committee.

Total public investment capital for the city in 2023 is VND21.9 trillion ($912 million).

Chairman of the People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tung has asked relevant agencies to take drastic measures to tackle the difficulties and obstacles to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital over the remaining months of the year.

He also asked the city’s working group on reviewing and promoting public investment capital to propose measures to help project investors deal with difficulties and prepare documentation to receive the capital when it is disbursed.
