The People's Committee of Hai Phong city has announced that the northern port city has decided to allow the conversion of more than 6.2 ha of paddy land in Chi Minh Commune into non-agricultural land.
The conversion aims to lease out land (Phase 1) spanning over 8.31 ha in the commune—where site clearance has already been completed—to Tuan Kiet – TK Single-Member LLC., to execute the infrastructure investment, construction, and operation project for the Van To Industrial Cluster.
The land-use format is State land lease with annual rental payments, valid through June 16, 2075. The lease method is direct allocation without land-use rights auctions or competitive bidding to select investors.
The Van To Industrial Cluster spans over 35 ha, representing a total investment of more than VND535 billion (over $20.6 million). The project is geared toward developing modern, synchronized infrastructure to attract supporting industries, mechanical engineering and manufacturing, high-tech sectors, and eco-friendly production.
Under the approved zoning plan, the more than 8.31 ha of land leased in Phase 1 will include over 3 ha of industrial land, more than 3 ha for transportation infrastructure, over 1.37 ha for administrative and commercial service facilities, and the remaining 8,188 sq.m dedicated to green space.
