Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung has asked relevant agencies, investors, and contractors to accelerate construction of Ring Road No. 4 in the Hanoi capital region while also ensuring construction quality.
He visited officers and workers at the project’s construction site on January 30 as the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday nears.
He noted that this is a key national project and the first one connecting the capital region.
Construction began last June.
The link stretches 112.8 km and passes through Hanoi and Hung Yen and Bac Ninh provinces.
Total investment is estimated at VND86 trillion ($3.62 billion).
Nearly 97 per cent of land has been handed over to the project’s Management Board.
Once opened to traffic in early 2027, it is expected to improve connectivity between Hanoi and northern provinces and support socio-economic development in the entire northern region, with Hanoi being the main driver of growth.
