Hanoi attracted $1.3 billion of FDI capital in the first seven months of the year, marking an impressive growth of 65% compared to the same period of last year, the Government News has reported.
The capital city licensed 143 new projects with a total registered capital of $1.1 billion.
Meanwhile, $138 million was added to 102 existing FDI projects.
In July alone, the city lured $124.9 million of FDI capital with 23 new projects worth $38.9 million.
Figures from the municipal Department of Planning and Investment show that nearly 18,000 enterprises were established in Hanoi during the Jan-July period. Their combined registered capital reached more than VND162 trillion ($6.38 billion).
The city also witnessed the operation resumption of 6,600 firms.
