Hanoi generated jobs for 145,813 workers in the first seven months of the year, fulfilling 88.3% of the annual plan, figures from the Hanoi Employment Service Center.
In July alone, nearly 21,000 laborers found jobs.
Over 4,500 workers were sent on temporary contracts to work in many markets, including Taiwan (China), the Republic of Korea and Japan.
In July, the recruitment demand was estimated at 58,585 positions, focusing on the fields of retail, services, processing and manufacturing, construction and education and training.
Mr. Vu Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service center, said the recruitment demand is forecast to keep increasing following the recovery of the economy.
Sectors that are predicted to have high recruitment demand include sales, processing and manufacturing, tourism, arts and entertainment.
