The AeroExpo Hanoi & Vietnam Aviation Forum 2023 opened in the capital on March 21, attracting the participation of leading aerospace companies and around 50 foreign companies.

They include Airbus, Boeing, Safran, Thales, Mitsubishi, and Parker.

The four-day gathering will feature 120 stalls displaying and introducing products and technologies in the aviation industry.

It will act as a venue for participants to share new development opportunities and initiatives post-Covid-19 and promote trade exchanges.

The global aviation industry is recovering strongly after the pandemic and is expected to cater to 8 billion passengers by 2037 with the production of thousands of new aircraft.

Vietnamese carriers are forecast to increase their fleets to 230 aircraft in the opening months of 2023 to meet demand, which will rise to 250 in the closing months of the year, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
