Hanoi will promote vocational training this year with the aim of increasing the rate of trained workers to over 74 per cent under an action plan issued by the Hanoi People’s Committee.
Training will focus on sectors where society and the market have high demand.
An estimated 235,000 people will undergo vocational training this year.
Under the plan, the capital will support training to improve both professional and soft skills among workers at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), to help improve productivity and the quality of work.
Focus will also be placed on renewing training programs and methods, focusing on scientific, technical, and technological sectors, with priority given to information technology, new technology, high technology, and digital transformation.
