To prepare human resources for the upcoming operation of Long Thanh International Airport, the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), in coordination with relevant agencies, will host a job fair on August 23 in southern Dong Nai province where the airport is localted.

The event will feature eight advisory booths and is expected to attract around 2,000 participants, primarily students from Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City.

At the fair, ACV will recruit 1,400 specialized personnel for positions such as operations engineers, maintenance and repair technicians for electrical, electronics–telecommunications, mechanical–automation equipment, and chemical analysis engineers.

Additionally, airlines and ground service companies will seek to hire nearly 1,500 candidates.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has directed that by December 19, 2025, all construction packages and components must be substantially completed, meeting the standards and conditions required for inauguration. These components include telecommunications infrastructure, electricity, water supply and drainage, fuel systems, apron and taxiways, internal airport roads, landscaping, and commercial and dining facilities.

With the opening of Vietnam’s largest airport drawing near, workforce readiness is considered a critical factor for smooth operations.

According to ACV’s forecast, Long Thanh Airport will require over 13,700 workers once operational. This includes: 410 individuals with doctoral or master’s degrees; nearly 5,400 university graduates; over 2,200 college and vocational graduates; and more than 1,900 general laborers.

In addition, there will be roles related to airport management, operations, and various service sectors.
