Hanoi will invest in comprehensively developing its tourism infrastructure with a focus on building major sites and entertainment centers as part of solutions to boost the industry, according to local authorities.
It will also bolster tourism promotions and attract investment in opening centers exhibiting and introducing products from craft villages.
Research will be conducted on developing inland waterway tourism routes along rivers and lakes in connection with cultural and heritage tourism and agro-tourism destinations.
In order to attract more tourists and better serve visitors, city authorities will improve tourism management and continue to build Hanoi into a safe, friendly, and attractive destination.
The capital has set a target of welcoming 22 million visitors in 2023, including 3 million foreign tourists. Total revenue from tourism is to reach VND77 trillion ($322 million).
