Hanoi plans to organize a range of activities this month to raise public awareness about digital transformation in response to National Digital Transformation Day on October 10.
Apart from issuing a digital transformation plan with the target of building Hanoi into a smart city by 2025, it will also pilot a cashless payment street.
The capital will sign cooperative agreements with information technology organizations and enterprises to support the digital transformation process.
A series of conferences on digital transformation implementation; information security for State agencies in developing e-government; innovation; connections between agencies, enterprises, vocational training institutions, and startups; and advanced technological development such as AI, blockchain, and virtual reality (VR) will also be held.
The capital will also increase information provision to raise public awareness about digital transformation and help citizens and enterprise install and use digital platforms and public online services and promote online purchases via e-commerce platforms.
