The international Made in Vietnam wood and furniture fair, HawaExpo 2025, will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from March 5 to 7, 2025, in collaboration with five of the country’s largest wood industry associations.
Chairman of the Vietnam Timber and Forest Products Association (Viforest) Do Xuan Lap said Vietnam’s wood and wooden product exports in the first eleven months of 2024 were estimated at over $14.6 billion, nearing the revised target of $15.2 billion set mid-year. The US accounts for over 54 per cent.
With positive signs of market recovery in 2024, wood processing and export associations and businesses have proactively sought out production improvements and new export markets. A series of trade fairs aimed at attracting buyers interested in Vietnamese wood products have been held in key production areas such as Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Dinh and Binh Duong provinces.
“With the optimistic recovery of wood and wooden product exports so far this year, the return of HawaExpo 2025 will contribute to creating a valuable and high-quality trading event, providing effective leverage for businesses ready to enter a growth trajectory,” Mr. Lap said.
HawaExpo 2024 attracted over 20,000 visitors from more than 110 countries and territories.
