Ho Chi Minh City authorities have called for faster progress on a series of transport projects connecting to Long Thanh International Airport, aiming to ensure synchronised operations and strengthen regional infrastructure.

The municipal People’s Committee has urged relevant departments, investors and contractors to strictly follow directives from the Government, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and the Ministry of Construction, while expediting assigned tasks to meet project timelines.

For Ring Road 3, the city has requested contractors to mobilise additional manpower, equipment and financial resources, and adjust construction plans to ensure the project is completed and operational by June 30, 2026 as committed.

Regarding the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau expressway, authorities are pushing to accelerate construction, complete acceptance procedures and seek approval from the State inspection council, with a key section expected to open by March 31, 2026.

The Phu My 2 Bridge project is also being expedited, with enhanced coordination among relevant stakeholders to meet agreed schedules.

Meanwhile, appraisal and approval procedures for Ring Road 4 are being fast-tracked to ensure compliance with regulations.

In addition to road projects, the city is advancing railway connections to Long Thanh Airport, including Metro Line 2 sections and the Thu Thiem–Long Thanh railway, aiming to improve connectivity and support long-term growth.
