The central Da Nang city People’s Committee on August 22 held a groundbreaking ceremony in Thang Truong Commune for the Tam Thang Industrial Park (Expansion 2) project, with total investment of VND550 billion (about $21 million).

Approved in principle in June 2025, the project covers approximately 110.7 hectares and forms part of the development space of the Tam Thang Industrial Park sub-zone within the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone.

The expansion is expected to create new space for industrial production and increase the city’s available industrial land, helping attract both domestic and foreign investment. It is also projected to generate more jobs, increase local budget revenues and boost exports.

More importantly, the project is expected to become a new growth driver for the southern part of the central city, thus contributing to the city’s target of achieving double-digit economic growth in line with central government directives and the city’s development programs.
