HCMC completes 16 key transport projects in 2020-2030 plan

Ho Chi Minh City has completed 16 key transport projects under its master plan on transport infrastructure development in the 2020-2030 period, according to the municipal People’s Committee.

Projects include Thu Thiem 2 Bridge, Dang Thuc Vinh and To Ky Roads in District 12, Nguyen Huu Canh Road in Binh Thanh district, and Bung Bridge in Binh Tan district.

Other projects to be implemented to boost regional connectivity include Ring Road No. 2, Ring Road No. 4, and the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway.

From now to 2025, the city will work to reach targets in transport infrastructure development, including increasing the rate of land set aside for transport to 15 per cent of land in urban construction. The average density of roads is estimated at 2.5 km per sq km.
