The Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Innovation & Startup Center is set to enhance its operational model and mechanisms, aiming to incubate at least 350 innovation and startup projects and assist at least 50 projects in securing investment funds during the 2024-2025 period.
These objectives are part of a plan approved recently by the HCMC People's Committee, detailing the Center's activities for the period 2024-2025.
The HCMC Innovation & Startup Center acts as a hub for gathering and connecting resources within the city's innovation and startup ecosystem, both domestically and internationally.
Its goals are to disseminate the city's support policies for innovation and startups, offer services related to innovation and startups, and support technology transfer, research and development, and the commercialization of scientific research results.
Ultimately, the Center aims to create a competitive advantage for HCMC's innovation and startup ecosystem regionally and internationally.
For the 2024-2025 period, the Center has set the following targets: attract community participation and achieve 100% occupancy; incubate at least 350 innovation and startup projects; support at least 50 projects in accessing venture capital funds, with at least 30% successfully raising capital; and provide innovation and startup training to at least 5,000 individuals.
