The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has proposed building two more bridges to connect the city and neighboring Dong Nai province.

The proposed six-lane Phu My 2 bridge project would connect the south of Ho Chi Minh City with Nhon Trach district in Dong Nai.

It would run from the Dong Nai River, go along Hoang Quoc Viet Street, and connect with Nguyen Luong Bang Street and then Nguyen Huu Tho Street in District 7.

Meanwhile, the Dong Nai 2 bridge project, which would have six lanes, would link Thu Duc City in Ho Chi Minh City with Long Thanh district in Dong Nai.
