Ho Chi Minh City has for the first time hosted an event introducing One commune, One product (OCOP) goods and specialties from regions that have signed socio-economic cooperation agreements with the city.
Nearly 1,200 products, including 716 OCOP products, were on display at the three-day event, which ended on October 29.
Some 439 businesses from the Mekong Delta, the southern region, the central highlands, the south-central region, the northern and north-central region, and the central region were in attendance, which helped promote farmers’ OCOP products while enabling businesses to connect with trade promoters in domestic and international markets.
“Over the years, Ho Chi Minh City has always strengthened links with localities nationwide through the signing of MoUs on socio-economic cooperation,” said Deputy Chairman of the city’s People’s Committee Ngo Minh Chau.
“The city expects that not only OCOP products but also regional specialties will be promoted and directly reach distributors and consumers at home and abroad.”
