During a dialogue with pharmaceutical enterprises on October 26, the Ministry of Health said it will consider recommendations and proposals to introduce policies to create the most favorable mechanisms for their development.
Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen said that following the previous dialogue in 2022, the Ministry has been focusing on accelerating administrative reforms, improving the business and investment environment, and removing existing obstacles related to medical mechanisms and policies through the issuance of many policies and regulations.
Of note, the Ministry advised the government to propose that the National Assembly promulgate Resolution No. 80/2023/QH15 to continue implementing certain policies in the fight against and control of Covid-19.
It also recently proposed that the Prime Minister issue Decision No. 1165/QD-TTg approving the National Strategy for the Development of Vietnam’s Pharmaceutical Industry by 2030 with a Vision to 2045.
In implementing Government Decision No. 376/QĐ-TTg on a program to develop the country’s pharmaceutical industry, the Ministry has worked with the People’s Committees of northern Thai Binh province and Ho Chi Minh City on the construction of two pharmaceutical industrial parks.
