The People's Committee of central Hue City, in collaboration with the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, held an investment promotion dialogue with Chinese enterprises on July 29 to strengthen business connections, explore new investment opportunities and pave the way for future cooperation projects.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Hue People's Committee Le Tri Thanh said China is one of the city's key investment partners. Chinese businesses have so far implemented more than 30 projects in Hue, creating employment for over 9,000 local workers.
According to the city leader, the dialogue provided a platform for local authorities and the Chinese business community to exchange information, discuss investment needs, identify new cooperation opportunities and address challenges encountered during project preparation and implementation.
Mr. Le Tri Thanh reaffirmed Hue's commitment to supporting investors by accelerating administrative reforms and fostering a transparent, efficient and business-friendly investment environment to facilitate long-term development.
Representatives of Chinese enterprises expressed interest in a wide range of sectors, including the development of Chan May Port, logistics, distribution networks, incentive policies for foreign-invested enterprises, green and smart seaports, agriculture, and traditional medicine.
The meeting reflects Hue's broader efforts to attract high-quality foreign investment and deepen economic cooperation with Chinese businesses in strategic sectors that support the city's long-term development goals.
