The opening of the National Innovation Center at Hanoi’s Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park (NIC Hoa Lac) is slated for late October, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Duy Dong told a press briefing on August 15.

NIC Hoa Lac will serve as the largest innovation center in Vietnam, offering numerous incentives to attract large tech groups and enterprises, reputable international incubators, and local and foreign specialists.

Covering a total area of nearly 20,000 sq m in the capital, NIC Hoa Lac is expected to push innovation and creativity and bring into full play the role of a leading center and a key chain in the system of innovation centers, contributing to completing the national innovation ecosystem.

Equipped with advanced facilities, the center will facilitate the organization of innovation activities, seminars, and workshops, as well as links between businesses, researchers, and specialists, and accelerate technological research and development and transfer.

“The center expects to connect talent and uphold the strengths of the innovation community and nurture potential innovative projects, which demonstrates the resolve and close directions of the government in supporting and developing the ecosystem, turning Vietnam into a destination of innovation for the region and the word,” said Deputy Minister Dong.

To mark its opening, NIC Hoa Lac will host the Vietnam International Innovation Expo 2023 from October 28 to November 1.
