Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has signed a decision approving an adjustment to the investment policy for building the first phase of the Cao Lanh - An Huu Expressway in the Mekong Delta.
Investment will increase by VND1.610 trillion ($67 million) to VND7.496 trillion ($312 million).
The first phase of the expressway, which has a total length of 27.43 km, runs through Dong Thap province and neighboring Tien Giang province.
Earlier, the Ministry of Transport proposed the Prime Minister adjust investment in the project following an increase in site clearance and construction costs.
In the first phase, the expressway will have four lanes with a roadbed width of 17 meters, allowing a maximum speed of 80 kph.
