The Vietnam Department of Expressways at the Ministry of Transport (MoT) has published a list of eight rest stops along the eastern North-South Expressway seeking investors.

The rest stops are in the Mai Son - National Highway No. 45, Nghi Son - Dien Chau, Dien Chau - Bai Vot, Nha Trang - Cam Lam, Cam Lam - Vinh Hao, and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay sub-projects. Each sub-project has a couple of rest stops.

These sub-projects are set to be completed and open to traffic but do not have rest stops as yet.

Investors interested in building the rest stops must submit dossiers to the department before January 11.

Earlier this year, the MoT asked relevant agencies to prepare to build rest stops along the eastern North - South Expressway.

According to initial surveys, the expressway, running from northern Lang Son province to the Mekong Delta’s Ca Mau province, will have 37 rest stops.

Five have received investment and been put into operation, while two others are under construction.
