Japan continues to be the leading destination for Vietnamese workers, with more than 67,000 working in the country in 2022, according to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
It was followed by Taiwan (China) and South Korea.
More than 142,000 Vietnamese workers headed overseas to work last year, surpassing the target by 58.64 per cent and a year-on-year increase of 216.87 per cent.
The number of Vietnamese workers going to work in Japan has accounted for half of all Vietnamese workers heading abroad in recent times.
Japan is a popular destination for Vietnamese workers due to high incomes and good working conditions.
