The Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has approved a master plan on developing the south-central province’s night-time economy by 2030.
The plan will focus on four main areas: culture and entertainment, catering, shopping, and tourism.
It hopes to exploit the potential of the night-time economy and tap into opportunities to boost economic development, building Khanh Hoa into a center of international maritime tourism and services as well as raising people’s incomes and living conditions.
The plan will be divided into two phases. In the first phase, from 2023 to 2025, the province will review and select units to boost existing night-time cultural, entertainment, catering, shopping, and tourism services.
In the second phase, from 2026 to 2030, it will complete a night-time development model, call for investment, and execute projects.
The province will focus on developing the economy after 10pm on a trial basis and in line with prevailing regulations at iconic and popular destinations for both domestic and international tourists.
