South-central coastal Khanh Hoa province welcomed over 8 million tourists in the first eight months of the year, fulfilling 88.9% of the annual target, according to the provincial Department of Tourism.

Of which, 3.2 million were foreigners.

In August alone, over 1.3 million tourists visited the province, a year-on-year increase of 33.1%.

Total tourism revenue in the eight-month period reached more than VND39.5 trillion ($1.57 billion).

The province targets to welcome 9 million visitors in 2024, including 3 million international holiday-makers.

The province has organized many tourism promotion programs to promote tourism in key and potential foreign markets such as China, South Korea, Kazakhstan and Thailand.
