Lam Dong needs $500mln for housing development

Total housing area in central highlands’ province expected to rise by over 1 million sq m.

The central highlands’ Lam Dong province needs more than VND12 trillion ($508 million) to implement its housing development plan for 2023, according to local authorities.

The Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee has approved a housing development plan that targets increasing the total housing area by over 1 million sq m, including more than 260,000 sq m for commercial housing, over 48,100 sq m for social housing, and over 7,800 sq m for resettlement housing.

Total investment needed to carry out the plan is estimated at $508 million, including over VND1.4 trillion ($59 million) for developing commercial housing, nearly VND3.3 trillion ($139 million) for building urban areas, and VND552 billion ($23.2 million) for building resettlement housing.
