The 2023 Vietnam Logistics Forum (VLF) is set to open in the Mekong Delta’s Can Tho city on December 1, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).
The annual gathering is held by MoIT with the aim of promoting connections and facilitating dialogue between State management agencies, localities, associations, and businesses in the field of logistics.
This year’s forum, with the theme “Logistics and Digital Transformation for the Mekong Delta”, is set to feature a field trip to Can Tho ports, logistics centers, and enterprises, as well as a plenary session and a thematic discussion.
The two-day forum is aimed at encouraging logistics businesses to boost digital transformation and the application of digital technology to improve their competitiveness, said Tran Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the MoIT’s Agency of Foreign Trade.
The Vietnam Logistics Report 2023 is expected to be released at the forum.
According to a World Bank report from this year, Vietnam ranks 43rd in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI) rankings and is among the top 5 ASEAN countries.
There are 34,479 logistics enterprises in the country.
