Major projects in central Thua Thien-Hue province are accelerated to be put into operation on schedule this year.

China’s Kanglongda International Co. Ltd. is completing the final stages for a disposable glove factory which covers 35.6 ha in Phong Dien Viglacera Industrial Park, with total investment capital estimated at over VND4.8 trillion ($188 million).

The first phase of the project has been completed and is now under trial operation. It will be put into official operation soon.

Meanwhile, the Aeon Mall Hue shopping center project in An Van Duong urban area, which has been under construction since February 2023, with an investment capital estimated at over VND3.9 trillion ($153 million), is expected to be completed in August and be operational from September. 

Meanwhile, the Phu Son Waste Treatment Plant, with an investment capital of nearly VND1.7 trillion ($66 million) and a capacity of 600 tons of rubbish daily, has been put into operation since April. 

In the first four months of 2024, the province licensed 19 new projects with a combined registered capital of over VND5.27 trillion ($206 million), including eight FDI projects worth $33.2 million.
