The Van Phong – Nha Trang expressway, one  of the 12 component projects of the eastern North - South Expressway, is expected to open to traffic from January 10, 2025 as proposed by its investor.

Under the proposal, the early operation for the 70-km section of the Van Phong–Nha Trang expressway in south-central Khanh Hoa province to meet increasing travel demand on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year holidays.

The whole expressway, being over 83km in length, is scheduled to be put into operation in late 2025.

Construction of the project has been sped up and the contractor affirmed to complete the 70-km section, which stretches from Van Gia intersection to the Nha Trang – Cam Lam expressway, before January 10.

Total investment capital for the Van Phong – Nha Trang expressway is estimated at VND11.8 trillion ($462 million).
