The Ministry of Construction has asked the People’s Committees of centrally-run cities and provinces to review urban and construction planning tasks to attract investment resources.
The ministry said urban and construction planning is an important foundation for attracting investment for the development of urban and rural areas.
However, the compilation, adjustment, and approval of planning in some localities has not been consistent.
The ministry requested that the People’s Committees check urban and construction planning already approved and review delayed projects to adjust planning in line with regulations in order to manage urban development and build construction investment projects effectively and synchronously.
To ensure quality and efficiency, the government and the Prime Minister have issued a number of directives and resolutions to tighten control over the compiling of construction and urban development planning.
