A delegation from the Mitani Sangyo Group in Japan has visited southern Binh Duong province to seek investment opportunities, the Binh Duong newspaper has reported.
The Group operates in the fields of chemicals, resins, information systems, air conditioning systems, and energy.
Speaking at a meeting with local authorities on June 6, Special Advisor of the Group Mitani Mitsuru said a delegation of businesses from Ishikawa province will visit Vietnam in November to discover the investment possibilities and will arrive in Binh Duong to conduct a survey.
Secretary of the Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi welcomed the Japanese delegation and said Binh Duong is committed to work with businesses and the Mitani Sangyo Group and to create favorable conditions for foreign investors to conduct production and trade.
He noted that the combination of the Group’s strengths in finance, technology, international markets, and business administration and Binh Duong’s advantages will generate benefits for both.
Binh Duong is currently home to over 4,000 foreign-invested projects of 65 countries and territories with total registered capital of over $40 billion. Japan is its second-largest biggest foreign investor, with 344 projects and capital of nearly $6 billion.
