The National Assembly (NA) has decided to allocate a total of over VND13.3 trillion ($565.7 million) of remaining capital in the socio-economic recovery and development program to ministries and central and local agencies to implement investment projects that have completed the necessary procedures.
This is part of a resolution adopted by the NA on June 22 on the list and amount of capital for tasks and projects under the socio-economic recovery and development program; the allocation, adjustment, and supplementation of the mid-term public investment plan from the central budget in the 2021-2025 period; and the allocation of the central budget for the national target program.
Regarding the allocation, adjustment, and supplementation of the mid-term public investment plan from the central budget in the 2021-2025 period, the resolution said that over VND444 billion ($18.7 million) of remaining capital in the national target program on socio-economic development for ethnic minority-inhabited and mountainous areas will be allocated to the Ministry of Education and Training.
Nearly VND26 trillion ($1.09 billion) of remaining capital in the mid-term public investment plan from the central budget in the 2021-2025 period will be allocated to ministries, agencies, and localities.
Meanwhile, nearly VND24.6 trillion ($1.03 billion) of capital that had been allocated to the Ministry of Transport will be deducted and allocated to localities.
The capital adjustment is aimed at helping ministries, agencies, and localities complete public investment projects, according to the resolution.
