With the message "All People Innovate – A Driving Force for National Development," the National Innovation Day (October 1) will officially commence with its inaugural ceremony to be held on October 1 in Hanoi.
This information was announced on September 25 by the National Innovation Center (NIC) under the Ministry of Finance, and the Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation (SATI) under the Ministry of Science and Technology).
One of the most important activities at the ceremony will be the Ministry of Science and Technology's announcement of the Provincial Innovation Index (PII 2025). This tool will evaluate the innovation capacity of various provinces and cities, thereby promoting healthy competition and encouraging localities to invest more strongly in this sector.
In parallel, the Innovation Policy Forum, chaired by the Ministry of Science and Technology, will focus on assessing the effectiveness of existing mechanisms and policies. It will also propose solutions to institutionalize major initiatives, ensuring synchronicity and practical relevance.
Alongside the National Innovation Day, the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition 2025 will take place from October 1 to October 3, expecting to attract around 40,000 visitors. The exhibition will bring together hundreds of domestic and international technology enterprises, showcasing thousands of products across 11 key sectors such as digital technology, renewable energy, biomedicine, and smart agriculture.
Notably, this year's event will feature numerous booths from leading technology nations like the US, Germany, France, and Japan, creating a space for international exchange and opening opportunities for cooperation and investment promotion.
Additionally, a rich series of side activities will be held, including forums and specialized workshops on policy, technology, and human resources; and the kick-off program for the National VEX Robotics Competition 2026.
