Under a Prime Ministerial decision dated October 20, 2025, signed a National Steering Committee on Data has been established.
Headed by the Prime Minister, the committee is tasked with researching, advising, and assisting the Government and the Prime Minister in directing and coordinating the implementation of policies, strategies, mechanisms, and national-scale data solutions. Its work also covers development of national and sectoral databases.
The committee’s functions include the integration, synchronisation, storage, sharing, analysis, and utilisation of data within the national database system, as well as addressing cross-sectoral data-related issues.
In addition, it will provide guidance on strategies, programs, projects, and initiatives related to national-scale data management within the Government’s authority, while monitoring and evaluating the progress of key data initiatives to inform policymaking.
