Vietnam’s Creative Startup Festival (TechFest) 2024 will take place over three days on November 26-28 in the northern city of Hai Phong, featuring nearly 150 different activities.

An annual event spearheaded by the Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with various other ministries, agencies, localities, and socio-political organizations, Techfest 2024 is being held with the theme “Joining hands to develop Vietnam’s creative startup ecosystem”.

It aims to showcase, inspire, and celebrate outstanding achievements in creative startups within businesses and society at large; to summarize and evaluate the ten-year journey of building the creative startup ecosystem and outline its development direction in the new phase; and to drive economic and social development in Vietnam in general and in Hai Phong in particular through creative startup activities.

In addition, efforts will be made to attract tech startups, tech talent, investment funds, and both domestic and international experts. This will introduce the dynamic and developing city of Hai Phong to the global and local innovative startup community, fostering an environment that supports and promotes the rapid growth of businesses utilizing intellectual assets, technology, and new business models.

Mr. Hoang Minh, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, said Techfest 2024 will mark a new phase of Vietnam’s innovative startup ecosystem, transitioning from the initial stage to the expansion stage.

Techfest 2024 will feature a more defined role for representatives from State management agencies abroad and large corporations and enterprises.

Nearly 150 activities will be organized, including high-level policy dialogues, exhibitions of innovative startup products and services, in-depth seminars on developing the startup ecosystem, investment connection activities, and the Vietnam Innovative Startup Talent Search competition.

This year’s Techfest aims to attract around 8,000 attendees, or 1,500 more than attended Techfest 2023.
