Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai has signed a decision providing a list of waste permitted for import from overseas for use as production materials.

The new decision, dated May 22, 2023, will take effect on June 1, 2023, and replace Decision No. 73/2014/QD-TTg dated September 24, 2020.

Included on the list are waste and scrap from cast iron, alloy steel, plastics, glass, copper, and nickel, and recovered paper or paperboard, among others.

Individuals and organizations are permitted to directly import waste and scrap for production materials in production facilities, in line with their registered capacity.
