North-central Nghe An province granted investment licenses to 14 projects and adjusted the existing capital in 25 projects during the opening two months of the year, with investment capital totaling over VND10.9 trillion ($444 million), according to the Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee.
In February alone, six projects were licensed with capital of over VND7.63 trillion ($311 million).
At a press briefing on February 27 on the province’s socio-economic situation in February and the first two months of the year, the Committee also reported that the province posted export revenue of $370 million, up 8.32 per cent year-on-year.
Its Index of Industrial Production (IIP) rose 5.96 per cent in February.
As of February 20, it had disbursed over VND1 trillion ($40.8 million) in public investment capital, equivalent to 11.52 per cent of the total allocated for 2024. Disbursement last year reached 95.04 per cent of the annual target.
